How to use the player

When you convert your comic, you can choose to convert it to a standalone HTML player. It's like a "mini web site" you can run everywhere, since you have a web browser.

This player can be used with a mouse, a keyboard or a touch screen.

The player

Interface

1. Menu

This button allows to display the menu. In this menu you can change the player's playback settings.

2. Full screen

This button allows to display the player in full screen. This is particularly useful on mobile browsers where the navigation bar occupies too much space.
Note that the "full screen" action is prohibited on iOS devices.

3. Previous / next panel

This button allows to jump to the previous or next panel in your comic. If the next panel is on another page, player will automatically change page.
Note that if you have configured a "page by page" navigation in the playback settings, you'll jump to the previous or next page.

4. Previous / next page

This button allows to jump to the previous or next page in your comic.

5. Current page

This part indicates the current page / total. You can click on it to choose the page you want to jump to.


Navigation

In addition to the actions described above, there are other actions that ease the navigation.

Mouse Keyboard Fingers Action
Click Touch When displaying a panel Jump to the next panel in your comic. If the next panel is on another page, player will automatically change page.
Note that if you have configured a "page by page" navigation in the playback settings, you'll jump to the next page.

When displaying a full page Zoom to the selected panel.
Double-click When displaying a panel Show the full page. Click to return to the panel.
Scroll 🠔 🠕 🠖 🠗 Swipe Jump to the previous / next panel in your comic. If the next panel is on another page, player will automatically change page.
Note that if you have configured a "page by page" navigation in the playback settings, you'll jump to the previous or next page.
Long click Long touch Zoom to the position of the click / finger. You can zoom up to 2 times. Click / touch to exit zoom.
Pinch Zoom to the position of the pinch. Touch to exit zoom.
F Switch to full-screen.
P Switch between "panel by panel" mode and "page by page" mode.
O Switch focus mode ("on" / "off").
M Show / hide settings menu.
D Switch debug mode ("on" / "off").


Playback settings

Playback settings

In the menu, you can change the playback settings:

Display panel by panel

Player will display each panel one at a time with the most appropriate zoom.

Panel by panel

Display page by page

Player will display each page in turn. You will have to click on a panel to zoom it.

Page by page

Pause on new page

For "display panel by panel" only.

Whith this option checked, when the player changes page, it pauses on the full page.

With pause

If not checked, after the last panel of a page the player will display the first panel of the next page.

Without pause

Focus on current panel

Whith this option checked, the other panels are slightly masked.

With focus

If not checked, the image is not modified.

Without focus

Debug mode

For debug purpose only.

Whith this option checked, player will display the borders of each panel when full page is displayed.
